Newly restructured halls at Royal Ontario Museum now open to the public
Oriental art pieces on exibit for the first time

The new structure will permanently change the arrangement of exhibition halls. The main entrance to the Royal Ontario Museum will be from Bloor St. This is the most significant change of the last 30 years, and the one with the greatest impact - even from the visual standpoint - ever carried out.
This is how the ROM prepares to display old treasures to its city.
Unique pieces, held for almost a century, especially as regards Oriental art, that contribute to the museum's significance as one of North America's most important. This operation was carefully studied and finalized within a few years thanks to the trust obtained from investors, who believed in the potential of the Royal Ontario Museum.
The Boxing Day opening is merely a first step in a long journey that will bring Toronto closer to the splendours of the ROM.
This long journey of art has merely begun.
