Vicki Vasilopoulos’ Film “Men Of The Cloth” To Premiere At MFA


Director Vicki Vasilopoulos will be premiering her long-awaited film, “Men of the Cloth.” The film will be premiering at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA, on Thursday, December 10,2015. Vasilopoulos will be hosting a Q & A alongside local tailor Joe Caulautti of Rizzo Tailor in Harvard Square. The film has been 10 years in the making and has received a positive response from the Italian-American community. Coro-Dante Will Be Hosting Two Holiday Concerts In December

In December, Coro-Dante will be hosting two holiday concerts featuring Italian Christmas carols. The first will be taking place at Sacred Heart Church in East Boston on December 6. The second will be at The Dante Aligheri Society on December 13. Both events will feature Italian Christmas carols and soloists performing choruses from Antonio Cartellieri’s “La Celebra Navita del Redentore.” Both events are free and open to the public.

‘Palio’ Movie To Be Released On iTunes

Cosima Spender’s film about Italy’s oldest horse race will premier on iTunes on November 6, 2015. ‘Palio’ follows Gigi Bruschelli, legendary maestro, and his protégé,  Giovanni Atzeni. This documentary focuses on the inside life of the Italian horse races.

Italian singer Giada Valenti will be featured in her own special on PBS. The show is titled “From Venice With Love.” The special will air in December.  Valenti speaks and sings in five different languages. She sings mainly love songs. The date in December has not yet been specified.

 The Kendall Square Theatre in Cambridge, MA will be showing Oscilloscope’s “The Wonders” on November 6, 2015.  “The Wonders” is the winner of the Grand Prix at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival and also stood out at the New York Film Festival. The film takes place in the countryside of Tuscany and centers on a family of beekeepers living in complete isolation.
