Migliori in Mens et Gesta Awards 2015


On March 28, the Pirandello Lyceum held its annual I Migliori in Mens et Gesta Awards at East Boston’s Hyatt Harborside Hotel. The event marked the 30th anniversary of the organization’s annual gala.

This year’s honorees included Josephine Cuzzi, who served as executive director of the East Boston YMCA from 2006-2014, expanding the child and adult care food and summer programs, and State Senator Sal DiDomenico, who has been representing the Middlesex and Suffolk Districts since May 2010 after serving four terms on the Everett City Council. DiDomenico is also president of the Sts. Cosmas and Damian Society Feast in Cambridge.

Also honored were Giuseppe Giangregorio, co-owner of the North End’s Green Cross Pharmacy, and Alberto Mustone, co-founder of Malden’s Club Italia and the Federation of Italian Associations of New England, where he served as president for four years. Paolo Parravano, co-director of Government and Community Relations at M.I.T., was awarded for his role in fostering communication and understanding between the university and all levels of government and the community. James F. Pinzino was honored for his career in international business, leading a small computer-ware firm to become one of the country’s fastest growing private corporations. Attorney Frank D. Privitera, Jr., was recognized for his philanthropic endeavors as partner of the Privitera Family Charitable Foundation. This year’s President’s Award was given to Rev. Richard C. Messina.
