Located on Salem Street in Boston’s North End, Terramia Ristorante will be hosting a Tuscan wine dinner on Monday, June 29, 2015. The dinner will be celebrating the Frescobaldi family’s 700 years in the winemaking business. The Frescobaldi family is dedicated to serving only the finest quality Tuscan wines to their customers. The family’s history dates back to the 1300’s, where they served dedicated clients, including Renaissance artists and Papal Courts. They were the first family in Tuscany to offer Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Nero, and Chardonnay. In modern day, they are constantly finding new ways to change the wine industry.

At this rare dinner, you will feel like you have been taken to another world. You will get a taste of Tuscany life and experience some of their finest wines. You will feel as though you are on a beautiful Tuscan vineyard! Luiz Prata, Terramia’s accomplished chef, has created a beautiful five-course menu paired with Frescobaldi wines that will make this a memorable experience. The first course of the evening is named Tonno Crudo, which features a sushi grada tuna tartare with cherry tomatoes, avocado, and includes a small greens salad. This course is paired with a 2013 Frescobaldi Pomino Bianco Chardonnay.  Following is the second course which is Torta: a smoked tomato and braised onion tart topped with goat cheese and mâche greens. The course is paired with a 2011 Frescobaldi Nipozzano Chianti Rufina Riserva. The night continues with course number three: Ravioli Amatriciana. Ravioli Amatriciana is served with smoked pancetta, spicy Collina tomato sauce, pecorino and parigiano. This delicious meal is paired with a 2011 Tenuta di Frescobaldi. Then there is the fourth course, the Bistecca: a prime filet mignon served with sweet potato mash, sautéed baby spinach, and a red wine reduction. This dish is paired with a 2008 Frescobaldi Castel Giocondo Brunello di Montalcino.  The evening concludes con dolci: Budino di Pane. The dessert is a salted caramel bread pudding served with vanilla gelato; complimented by a 2006 Frescobaldi Pomino Vin Santo.  Sounds molto deliziosa!

This dinner costs $70 per person (plus tax and gratuities). Dinner starts at 6:30 pm. It is required to make a reservation. To make a reservation, call 617-523-3112.
